About Mission Australia Mission Australia is a Christian community service organisation that has been transforming the lives of Australians in need for more than 150 years.
In 2010-11 our 550 community and employment services assisted more than 300,000 Australians by providing a hand up, a way forward and hope for the future. We work towards creating a fairer Australia
by advocating for people in need and helping them to get back on their feet. We strengthen families, empower youth, strive to solve homelessness and provide employment solutions.
By learning from others and sharing what works well for us, we are able to deliver positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities. We work to stop problems before they start, provide support to prevent situations from getting worse and form partnerships to find long-term solutions to community issues.
Mission Australia is also dedicated to transforming the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders by increasing their opportunities for a better quality of life. Working with government, corporate Australia, churches and the wider community,
Mission Australia is determined to overcome disadvantage across the nation.
